Update 9/29/2021: Thank you for all the shares and for making this my most popular post. Be sure to check out my newest post, Packaged Fall Treats or Favors.
One day while scrolling through Pinterest, I came across these cute Little Debbie Christmas treats from The Keeper of the Cheerios. I thought they would make perfect Christmas party favors. So the girls and I set off on a project!
My girls were super excited to help, and they are so simple and easy to make.
We gathered up our supplies.
Materials
- Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies
- Small red buttons
- Black Sharpie marker
- Ribbon
- Paint pens
- Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies
- Wiggly eyes
- Brown construction paper
- Scissors
- Small red pom poms
- Low heat glue gun
Gingerbread favors
First, we made the Gingerbread favors using Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies. We started by drawing on the eyes with a Sharpie marker. Then using a paint pen, we drew the face outline and mouth. My 11 year old loved this! Next, hot glue on the button cheeks and a ribbon bow.
We got a little creative and made both boys and girls. The boys had a bow tie, while the girls had a hair bow and eyelashes. You could also get creative with your colors.
Reindeer favors
Secondly, we made the Reindeer favors using Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies. We started by cutting antlers out of brown construction paper. Then, I hot glued the antlers onto the back of the brownies and the eyes and nose to the front. Again, you could get creative with your eye placement and nose size/color.
These are sure to be a hit at your school, work, or home Christmas party!
If making these with children, please use extreme caution with the hot glue gun. Even a low-temperature glue gun can burn skin. An adult should always supervise.
