Hi! I’m Sarah Henderson. I love dogs and I love to travel! I was asked to join Simply Heartfelt to share my experiences of raising service dogs for Canine Companions for Independence, as well as contribute to travel posts. These are my two great passions, so why not share about them?
My husband and I have 2 great kids that we’ve been homeschooling for the last 6 years. One of the reasons we decided to homeschool was because we love to travel, and homeschooling gives us the freedom to take trips any time of the year, not just during school breaks. We love seeing new places and being outdoors enjoying God’s beautiful creation. I’m excited to share some of our travel adventures with you!
I have been an animal lover my entire life. Dogs especially. I even got a degree in Veterinary Technology. I never worked in the veterinary field, however, shortly after I graduated I got married and then I became a stay-at-home mom. I searched for a way to put my love for dogs to use without working away from home and discovered Canine Companions for Independence. They needed volunteer puppy raisers and I quickly raised my hand. We will soon be raising our 4th CCI puppy and you can follow her journey here.
