During the month of September I got to go to not one, but THREE, slumber parties! I love slumber parties!
Weekend One
The first weekend was spent at another puppy raiser’s home. She is currently raising CCI puppy Peggy, and she also has a CCI Change of Career dog, Keely. Guess what? Keely is my half-sister! How cool is that?! We share the same awesome mom, Margie.
Peggy and I got to play a lot together during that weekend. Keely joined in, too, but mostly wanted some alone time. My first slumber party was so much fun. I think I slept for days afterward.
Weekend Two
The next slumber party didn’t include any dogs to play with but did have some kids. I stayed with my puppy raiser’s sister and her family. I loved all the attention I received. Maybe too much. I’ll admit, I barked a lot while I was there. I just wanted to keep playing!
Weekend Three
The third slumber party of the month occurred at yet another puppy raiser’s home. She is currently raising CCI puppy Helios who is getting close to matriculating into professional training in November. I tried to watch how well he behaved and performed all of his commands. I tried. But, I also wanted to play. During this visit, I got the opportunity to meet some cats and I got to go to work at an office for a few hours.
All of these slumber parties have been so much fun, but also great learning experiences. I got to watch older CCI puppies in training and learn from them, I got exposed to new environments and situations, and I got a lot of time to practice appropriate play. I love visiting friends, both human and canine. Bring on the next slumber party!
